Presented is a stunning collection of (48) New York Yankees signatures on a very distinctive Lou Gehrig lithograph. The lithograph measures 16x34 overall, though only 13x33 is visible due to framing. The framed dimension reaches a robust 22-3/4" x 43-1/2." The lithograph features Lou Gehrig in a smiling portrait, surrounded by five other images, many which are the most endearing images in the game's history. One is his receiving of his trophy from manager Joe McCarthy on July 4, 1939, affectionately known as Lou Gehrig Day. The other is his heartwarming embrace with Babe Ruth on that same day. There are (45) Yankee legendary players who signed the litho, most in blue or black ink, but a handful of which are signed with Sharpie. The majority of signatures are boldly signed, averaging ("8-9") with a few lesser. The key players, most of whom have won World Series titles in pinstripes includes: DiMaggio ("6", signature is somewhat obscured by the Gehrig/McCarthy image), Mantle ("9"), Boggs, Martin ("8"), Ford, Slaughter, Winfield, Gossage, Hunter ("8"), R. Jackson, Berra, P. Niekro, Bauer, Henrich, Rizzuto, Murcer, Randolph, Mattingly, Pepitone, Rivers, Dent, Skowron, Kubek, Larsen, John, Guidry, Richardson, Blanchard and Steinbrenner. This is a tremendous display piece encompassing nine decades of Yankee tradition and is sure to be one of the highlights of any collection. Full photo LOA from James Spence Authentication.
